INTRODUCTIONThis is one of my favorites, "chaura," a small, hardy plant which feels at home both at high altitudes and lowlands, tolerates snowy winters, dry and wet soils. It is also perfectly suited for potting, because generally it is not very big (20 - 30 cm). It has very sweet edible white or reddish fruits which taste somewaht like vanilla. When flowering, it is speckled with small, but very numerous, beatifully shaped white flowers. |
